Gîte Cruon is a peaceful retreat property near Duras, set among vineyards and open countryside in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

Designed for small, thoughtful gatherings, it offers the warmth of rural France with flexible accommodation, outdoor dining, cabins, a summer kitchen, pool access, and space to slow down, reconnect and create.

Accommodation

Gîte Cruon offers flexible accommodation for intimate groups.

The main gîte accommodates up to four guests and can be rented on its own for a smaller retreat or private stay. Two separate wooden cabins, set within the grounds, each accommodate two guests and can be arranged for single or double occupancy. For larger gatherings, additional guest rooms are available in the host residence, including one spacious room that can accommodate up to four guests and two further double bedrooms.

Possible retreat layouts include:

• gîte plus one cabin: 2–6 people
• gîte plus two cabins: 3–8 people
• gîte, two cabins and three chambres d’hôte rooms: 6–14 people

The Vineyard Cabins

Our two wooden cabins offer a calm, simple and authentic retreat experience surrounded by vineyard views and countryside. One cabin sits beneath a graceful willow tree, creating a particularly peaceful place to rest, read or reflect.

The natural wood interiors create a warm atmosphere, while the surrounding landscape offers birdsong, sunsets and open skies.

The Summer Kitchen

The summer kitchen is at the heart of the retreat experience.Set under a traditional covered terrace with rustic stone walls and wooden beams, it includes a barbecue, sink and preparation space, making it ideal for group cooking, shared meals, workshops, evening gatherings and relaxed outdoor dining.

It is a natural space for long-table lunches, women’s circles, creative sessions and conversations that continue into the evening.
